FOCUS - COMPONENT 1

Sharper Thinking Starts Here

Developed with NeuroTracker, a leading Canadian neuroscience firm featured in Nature, Focus is a cognitive training tool designed for the demands of aviation.

More Than a Simulator

Focus goes beyond traditional training by strengthening the mental skills that matter most in the cockpit: awareness, attention, decision speed, and resilience under pressure.

Training That Transfers

Built to be ecologically valid, Focus helps pilots improve in ways that directly impact real-world flying, not just test scores.

See the Mind at Work

Using eye tracking and performance analytics, Focus provides clear, actionable insights into how a pilot thinks, reacts, and improves over time.

SHAPE - COMPONENT 2

Rethinking How Pilots Learn

ImMRsiv™ Shape is an automated learning platform designed to bring clarity, consistency, and flexibility to flight training, no matter where you're learning or who's teaching.

Two Phases, One Seamless Experience

Shape includes two connected phases, Ground and Air, designed to give students more control over how and when they train.

Informed by Research, Built for Results

Shape is built on real-world studies and training methods used for Canadian and U.S. military pilots, along with data from AI-based learning models.

Ground Phase: Learn Before You Fly

Students access clear, high-quality briefings with voiceovers, cockpit visuals, and interactive questions, aligned with Transport Canada standards and best practices from leading flight schools.

Air Phase: Smart PRACTICE in the Sim

In the simulator, a built-in audio coach offers real-time guidance, tracking control inputs, timing, eye movement, and more to deliver immediate, personalised feedback.

Everything in One Place

All materials, from videos to checklists, are stored in the student’s secure training portal, so they can review and revisit whenever needed.

Train at Your Own Pace

Shape supports self-paced learning, so students can take the time they need, build confidence, and arrive more prepared for every flight.

Smarter Training at Scale

With performance tracking, learning analytics, and consistent content, Shape helps flight schools deliver a higher standard of instruction without instructor variability.

INSIGHT - COMPONENT 3

A Smarter Way to Measure Readiness

ImMRsiv™ Insight isn’t just a scoring system - it’s an AI-powered performance tool that helps evaluate pilot skills in a more consistent, objective way.

Built with Research Partners

Created in collaboration with Queen’s University / Ingenuity Labs and supported by CTS, NRC, and Mitacs, Insight is developed to help set a new standard for training equivalency in Canada.

Real-Time Recognition, Real Results

Insight identifies each manoeuvre as it happens, evaluates it against Transport Canada’s criteria, and adjusts its scoring using AI trained on how real examiners grade performance.

Same Standards, Anywhere You Train

Whether in the simulator or in the aircraft, Insight uses a single grading system, making it possible to replace select flight hours with sim time, where approved.

More Efficiency, Less Overhead

By shifting key parts of training to the simulator, Insight helps schools cut fuel, reduce maintenance, and extend aircraft life, while keeping training outcomes strong.

Smarter Every Flight

Insight improves over time, using every session to sharpen its accuracy and better predict in-aircraft performance based on simulator results.

Clear Reports for Instructors

Detailed flight reports give instructors a clear picture of student performance, so they can spend more time coaching in the air and less time covering basics on the ground.

Flexible, Scalable, Future-Ready

Insight opens the door to more adaptable, data-driven training, helping flight schools grow without compromising on quality or oversight.

Product Features & Capabilities

  • ImMRsiv™ delivers a level of immersion and training value that traditional simulators can’t match. By using a head-mounted display instead of fixed screens, students are fully immersed in the aircraft and flight environment — they quickly stop feeling like they’re “simulating” and start believing they’re actually flying. This realism is reinforced by high-definition, geo-specific visuals, true-to-life atmospheric effects, and a motion system directly linked to the flight model.

The flight model itself, along with force-feedback flight controls, is custom-built to replicate the precise handling and feel of the actual aircraft, maximizing learning transfer. ImMRsiv™ can also be networked, allowing multiple students to train together in the same synthetic environment. This creates realistic opportunities to practice communication, coordination, and deconfliction in scenarios such as circuit work, local flying, and cross-country missions.

Beyond performance, ImMRsiv™ is also cost-effective: it requires less capital investment and lower ongoing operating costs than any other simulator in its class.

  • The first distinction is between Virtual Reality (VR) and Mixed Reality (MR). In VR, the entire environment is computer-generated — pilots don’t see their actual hands, maps, or checklists, but instead rendered versions of them. Even when physical controls are present, the experience often feels “uncanny” and reminds the pilot they are only simulating. Until haptic technologies advance further, VR remains insufficient for professional pilot training.

Mixed Reality solves this by blending the virtual and physical. In MR, pilots interact with real controls, physical materials, and their actual environment, while still being immersed in a realistic flight scenario. This creates the level of authenticity professional training requires.

Within MR simulators, ImMRsiv™ stands apart for its quality. Our head-mounted displays provide the highest resolution and field of view available. Our force-feedback flight controls are designed to deliver precise tactile response, and our custom flight model is engineered to replicate the exact feel and performance of the real aircraft — a level of fidelity virtually unheard of in General Aviation training devices.

  • ImMRsiv™ currently supports the Diamond DA40, the Cessna 172, and the Cessna 208 Caravan. Each model has been built with a custom flight model, force-feedback controls, and a meticulously recreated cockpit environment to ensure the experience matches the real aircraft as closely as possible.

  • We can develop additional aircraft types to meet your training needs. The process involves creating a custom flight model, force-feedback and motion software, and a cockpit environment that accurately replicate the real aircraft. Depending on the complexity of the aircraft and its systems, the typical lead time for development is about nine months.

  • To balance training quality with cost efficiency, we recommend that each ImMRsiv™ simulator support 10–12 full-time equivalent students. This ratio ensures the simulator is fully utilized while still providing each student with enough time in the device to maximize training value.

  • Yes. Up to 30 ImMRsiv™ simulators can currently be networked to operate in the same synthetic environment, enabling students to fly coordinated missions, communicate, and practice airspace deconfliction just as they would in real-world training.

But no, the simulators do not need to be in the same physical location. We have successfully demonstrated students flying coordinated training missions on ImMRsiv™ devices located more than 1,000 miles apart — proving that distance is no barrier to immersive, collaborative training.

Implementation & Requirements

man using immrsiv equipment and controls
  • For aircraft types that are already available in our library, the typical build time is about four months.

If you require a new aircraft type, the process usually takes around nine months, as it involves developing a custom flight model, cockpit environment, and force-feedback controls to accurately replicate the aircraft.

  • ImMRsiv™ is compact, easily transportable, and requires no special infrastructure beyond what is typically available in a standard office environment. For optimum performance, we recommend a 10’ x 10’ office space with at least four standard electrical outlets, a reliable hardline internet connection (or a very strong wireless connection), and protection from strong light sources such as large, sun-facing windows.

  • Yes. Our team provides full installation and onsite training to ensure your staff are confident using ImMRsiv™ from day one. The combined installation and training process typically requires about two weeks on location.
